Our Story
We believe, just like our founder Leonard did, that dogs and cats were created to be our special companions, that our story just isn’t complete without them and we want to give them the best of everything.
It All Started with Leonard
Our founder, Leonard Bowman passed away in July 2019 at Davis Hospice in Cheyenne, Wyoming. When Leonard arrived in Cheyenne in 2013, he almost immediately purchased property on Pershing Bid and began renovating it. Not very long after, Cheyenne Dog Food Company appeared, in a refurbished colorful building with new and improved food to teed our dogs and cats, as well as facilities for giving your dog a bath.
The business was popular immediately, because it worked, doing what it promoted it would do for our pets. Leonard absolutely loved the people he met in the store and who became friends; their pets a definite addition to the relationship. He was looking forward to doing exactly the same thing for the rest of his life. That is what he did, though his life did not last very long due To cancer.
Our Story Continues…
Jenessa Washburn is the current owner of Cheyenne Dog Food Company, and continues the initial condition of “Loving Your Dogs, Inside and Out. Leonard’s family wishes to thank the wonderful people of Cheyenne for their continued support of CFC, and keeping Leonard’s motto as real as ever:
